KPMG India-FICCI Indian Media and Entertainment Industry Report mentions that the animation and VFX industry has experienced a growth of 16.4% in 2016, creating exponential job prospect for students from this field. With channels like Sonic, Nick and companies like Netflix investing in India, the young and creative minds are finding opportunities to transform their passion into profession.
While the rest of India is grabbing this prospect with almost 906 animation colleges, the status of North Bengal is not quite satisfactory. Despite the fact that we have an abundance of talents and creative minds, this lack of educational opportunity is forcing our youngsters to migrate.
